Nance commits to Southern Miss

GULFPORT -- Gulfport High School senior wide receiver Johnathan Nance has committed to play football for Southern Miss.

"I feel it will be home to me and I will get early playing time,'' Nance said. "I thought I should go on and seize the opportunity after they offered me at camp. I may play offense or defense. I don't know yet.''

Gulfport senior defensive end/linebacker Kaleb Fredericks committed to Northwestern State (La.)

Gulfport senior quarterback Richaud Floyd said Tuesday he would make a decision on college between Missouri and Cincinnati by the end of July. He will visit Missouri July 18 or July 25.
