BILOXI -- Police have arrested a third man on a residential burglary charge involving a break-in reported at a home on Shady Lane.

Police identified him as John Tristan Hinton, 18, of Gulfport. Hinton was held at the Harrison County jail on a $50,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Bruce Strong.

Witnesses in the neighborhood had called police just before 1 a.m. on June 19 to report a burglary in progress. Officers heard glass breaking in the home as they arrived, and realized someone was trying to get inside the house, Detective Steve Schlicht said.

Police soon arrested Christopher James Jarrell, 29, of Biloxi, and arrested Travis Olen Holloway, 19, also of Biloxi, later that day. Strong also set their bonds at $50,000.

Police arrested Hinton on Sunday. The men remained in custody Tuesday.

The jail docket shows Jarrell is not eligible to post bail. He is held on a parole warrant for the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Jarrell was convicted of felony evasion in 2013.
