Goforth gets 17th save as Stars top Generals, 4-3

The Huntsville Stars turned out 10 hits to beat the Jackson (Tenn) Generals, 4-3, Friday at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville, Ala.

Eight of the nine Stars hitters had at least one hit a piece, led by Robinzon Diaz and Greg Hopkins, who had two hits each.

Shea Vucinich went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for the Stars (54-32).

David Goforth, a former Ole Miss player, picked up his 17th save of the season by throwing two scoreless innings to close out the game.

Greg Holle (1-1) was the winner for the Stars, throwing 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.

Huntsville starting pitcher Jacob Barnes threw 5 1/3 innings, giving up two earned runs on seven hits.
