Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Phillies activated outfielder Domonic Brown from the paternity leave list on Friday.

Brown was hitting .225 with five homers and 39 RBI in 81 games this season before the brief respite.

To make room on the roster, the Phils optioned outfielder Aaron Altherr -- who was recalled when Brown was placed on the paternity list Wednesday -- to Double-A Reading.
