GULFPORT -- David Totterer loves the USA and wanted everyone to know it.

So last fall, about November, he began transforming his home into a patriotic reminder of the service of veterans, past and present.

Totterer painted his Gulfport house, sidewalk, mailbox and driveway red, white and blue in their honor, and to celebrate the Fourth of July.

He also posted an American flag in honor of the holiday and a sign in the window of his home reminds passers-by to support the troops.

He was happy to share his story and show off his home.
