MOSS POINT -- Police on Thursday asked for information to help identify the person or persons who busted through the wall of Fred's Pharmacy and stole a large amount of narcotics.

Interim Police Chief Art McClung said the business at 7818 Mississippi 613 reported the break-in about 8:41 a.m. on June 24.

A large hole was busted through a concrete block wall and entered the business through a storage area. Police believe a sledge hammer or similar tool was used to break into the building.

McClung said someone ripped the store's alarm off the wall and cut the wires, and took drugs from several areas in the business, including locked safes.

It wasn't clear if more than one person was involved.

To give a tip, call the Moss Point Police Department at 475-1711 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898.

Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to a felony arrest.
