BILOXI -- Six people from Chicago were arrested on drug and counterfeiting charges Tuesday when police investigated a noise complaint at a condo, police Lt. Christopher De Back said.

He said police responded to the 1800 block of Beach Boulevard at 8:36 a.m. and found Lajuane Johnson, 29, Melvin Lofton, 27, Cassandra Jackson, 22, Brandy Jeffries, 31, Karla Lucas, 28 and Ishana Jackson, 28, were in possession of credit card-making paraphernalia, several counterfeit credit cards and a large amount of crack cocaine.

He said each was arrested on charges of possession of counterfeit instruments and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

De Back noted Justice Court Judge Bruce Strong said they were held at the Harrison County jail in lieu of $275,000 bond amounts.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the investigation to contact police at 392-0641 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898.
