Mississippi State and North Carolina State have scheduled a home-and-home football series for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
The two will meet on Sept. 12, 2020, at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh. The Wolfpack return the trip on Sept. 11, 2021, in Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville.
The two programs have not met since the 1995 Peach Bowl when N.C. State defeated MSU 29-25 in Atlanta.
The Wolfpack lead the all-time series, 3-2. The last meeting between the two in Raleigh occurred on Oct. 26, 1940, which the Bulldogs won 26-10.
N.C. State captured the series' only Starkville contest, 6-0, on Nov. 7, 1931.
Three USM players on Athlon' preseason C-USA squads: Three Southern Miss football players garnered Conference USA preseason all-league nods in Athlon Sports.
Senior linebacker Alan Howze of Ocean Springs garnered second-team honors, while junior defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches of Phenix City, Ala., and junior running back Jalen Richard of Alexandria, La., made third team.
Howze returns for his fifth season with the Golden Eagles, after missing the final eight games of 2013 due to a foot injury. In his career, he has compiled 128 career tackles (55 solo) in 41 career games to go along with 8.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and a blocked kick.
Dye to speak at Mississippi Gulf Coast Auburn Club annual meeting: Former Auburn football coach Pat Dye will give the keynote speech at Mississippi Gulf Coast Auburn Club's annual meeting on July 10.
It will be held on the third floor of the Biloxi Yacht Club. The dinner is at 6 p.m. with the program at 7 p.m.
The cost is $40 (adults) and $20 (ages 12 and under).

Bowen joins Delta State basketball staff: Delta State head men's basketball coach Jim Boone named Jay Bowen as the Statesmen's new assistant men's basketball coach on Tuesday. Bowen replaces Chris Richardson, who left in May to be an assistant men's basketball coach at Central Missouri State University.
Bowen, who has more than 30 years of coaching experience at the collegiate, junior college and high school levels, comes to Delta State from Cambridge Christian School in Tampa, Florida, where served as head coach and athletic director since 2011. During his tenure, the boy's basketball squad achieved a top 10 ranking every year.
