Inmate goes missing from Greene County blueberry farm

LEAKESVILLE -- Authorities are searching for an inmate who went missing today while on a work detail on the blueberry farm at the prison in Greene County.

South Mississippi Correctional Institution Inmate Matthew Chester Tucker was discovered missing at approximately 11:20 a.m. He was last seen on Correctional Institution grounds wearing MDOC state-issued green and white striped pants with a white T-shirt.

Tucker, a 35-year old white male, has brown eyes, brown hair and weighs 145 pounds. Tucker is serving a 10-year sentence for a conviction of kidnapping of a minor from Coahoma County.
