Ole Miss defensive back Senquez Golson was arrested early Sunday by Gautier police on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Gautier Police Department spokesman Jerry Cooksey said Wednesday that Golson was picked up at 4:50 a.m. Sunday morning on Chestwood Drive.

"The officer was in the midst of a call and he encountered Golson," Cooksey said. "(The officer) attempted to identify him, but he didn't have any identification on him and he wouldn't give information."

Golson was taken to the Adult Detention Center in Pascagoula, where he was later released on $1,000 bond through AD Bonding.

Golson's court date is set for July 28 at Gautier Municipal Court. Golson is a former Pascagoula football star entering his senior season at Ole Miss.

He played in 12 games last season at Ole Miss, earning 10 starts at cornerback. He registered 41 tackles, two interceptions and three pass breakups.

Golson was a member of the Sun Herald's 2009 All-South Mississippi Football and the 2010 All-South Mississippi Baseball Team at Pascagoula High School.
