Felon with brass knuckles found lying on curb, Gulfport police say

GULFPORT -- A felon was taken into custody when police found him lying on a curb with drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles, Gulfport police said.

Police said Charles Robert Rutledge III, 34, of Gulfport, was found Friday night in the 1100 block of 45th Avenue.

He was arrested on a charge of possession of a weapon by a felon and was booked at the Harrison County jail.

Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner set bond at $25,000.
