Man accused of stealing more than $14,000 in cell phones from Sam's Club

GULFPORT -- Police arrested-29-year-old Alfred Lee Lewis Jr., Friday on a charge of embezzlement.

Sgt. Damon McDaniel said Lewis is accused of embezzling more than $14,000 by stealing cell phones from the Gulfport Sam's Club between May 5 and June 10. McDaniel said Lewis was assigned to the wireless section of the store when the thefts occurred.

Lewis was held at the Harrison County jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray.
