Chris McDaniel is calling on star power this weekend.

Saturday, the Republican Senate candidate will appear with Josh Duggar, executive director of the Family Research Council and Duggar family, at a rally at Hinds Community College in Pearl.

Josh is the oldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, known for their TLC network show "19 Kids and Counting."

Later that day, fformer Texas Rep. and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will be featured at a Second Amendment rally in Hattiesburg. Also appearing will be officials from the National Association of Gun Rights, the National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of America.

While McDaniel recently has not talked much about gun rights as he campaigns, he does talk frequently about liberty and freedom from government restrictions. Paul, a libertarian, has made freedom from government restraints a major theme of his political career.
