Ole Miss takes two commitments away from Mississippi State

Posted by JAMES JONES on June 7, 2014

Walnut safety Armani Linton and Bruce wide receiver Jay Johnson pledged to Mississippi State earlier in the year, but both switched to Ole Miss this week.

"It's the coaches," Linton told Rebelgrove.com. "They treat me like family, like I'm already a freshman here. It's a great feeling when I come here… It's a great atmosphere when you come here.

"My mom has come here but not Starkville. She loves it. They treated her nice, and she loves the way they treat me. She loves everything about Ole Miss right now."

Johnson reportedly wanted to visit the Bulldogs this weekend, but MSU coaches told him to come in July instead. Ole Miss stepped up and he chose the Rebels.

"I'm very comfortable (at Ole Miss)," Johnson said. "It's close to home and somewhere I've been several times."
