USM OL Peterson won't return for 2014 season

Posted by PATRICK MAGEE on May 28, 2014

Southern Miss offensive lineman Taylor Peterson has decided not to return to the football program for his fifth year of eligibility, head coach Todd Monken said Wednesday night.

Peterson was in line to see plenty of snaps this fall as a redshirt senior after getting significant time at center during the spring.

The 6-foot-4, 295-pound Peterson is a native of Auburn, Ala., and signed with USM in 2010.

Redshirt junior Randal Agee and redshirt freshman Devin Farrior also saw plenty of time at center during the spring.
