MGCCC has three verbal commitments to SEC schools

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community has three Division I verbal commitments.

Two of those players- quarterback Jason Smith and cornerback Tony Bridges- are both headed to Auburn.

A third Bulldog, defensive back Justin Evans, is headed to Texas A&M.

Gulf Coast (8-2) could have as many as a dozen players sign Division I scholarships during the Mid-year signing period in December or the regular National Signing Day in February.

The Bulldogs are expected to contend for the MACJC State and NJCAA national championships next season. Gulf Coast finished ninth in the final NJCAA Top 20 football poll.
