McDaniel accuses media of witch hunt

Posted on May 21, 2014

It's party in the bunker time for the Chris McDaniel campaign.

In an open letter to Sen. Thad Cochran (which is on several sites but wasn't sent to Sun Herald), McDaniel, among other things, again challenges Cochran to a debate.

"Until then, I will not engage either your campaign or the liberal media in their absurd witch hunt," McDaniel writes.

It comes a day after an appearance on the Paul Gallo radio show, which, to be generous, didn't go well. So it sounds like the last we'll hear of McDaniel is his petulant letter.

"Over the past several weeks, your campaign has resorted to shameful slander, even going so far as to call me a “criminal” without a shred of evidence to back up these accusations."

Crafty. No media for the final week and a half of the campaign. Let's see how that works.
