4 USM baseball players honored by C-USA

— Three Southern Miss baseball players were named second-team All-Conference USA and another was named to the league's All-Freshman Team on Tuesday.

Junior designated hitter Matt Durst, senior starting pitcher Conor Fisk and junior closer Bradley Roney were named second team All-C-USA Tuesday.

Outfielder Dylan Burdeaux was chosen for the league's All-Freshman Team.

Durst batted .282 with six home runs and 40 RBIs this year, starting 43 of 51 games at designated hitter.

Roney registered a team-high 11 saves in 16 appearances this year with a 0.91 ERA in 29 2/3 innings.

Fisk has been USM's ace this season, going 6-2 with a 2.68 ERA in 12 starts this season.

Burdeaux has started 46 games this season and has a .259 batting average with three homers and 19 RBIs.

USM (32-23) starts play in the Conference USA Tournament in Hattiesburg at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday against East Carolina.
