Secretary of State's Office wins two national awards for commercials

Posted on April 24, 2014

The national 35th Annual Telly Awards have announced the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Voter ID commercials were awarded two of their national awards, the SOS office said in a release Thursday.  The commercials received a Bronze Telly in the Political Issues/Campaign Advertising Category and a Bronze Telly in the Public Service Category.  Only silver and bronze honors are awarded.

“Mississippi has received two national awards for a voting campaign,” says Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann.  “Regardless of your views and opinions on Voter ID, our goal was to educate and engage all citizens of our State in a light-hearted and entertaining way.  Our State has now been recognized nationally for our efforts.”

The ads were created by the Cirlot Agency, which also created the Mississippi…Believe It! campaign.  The Cirlot Agency is a Mississippi company.
