General manager to be announced Tuesday for Biloxi's Double-A team

The general manager for Biloxi's new Double-A baseball team will be announced Tuesday afternoon in a press conference.

The main responsibilities of the new general manager will include the business side of operations, including ticket sales and sponsorships.

The process of naming the team will start around the first of May, and the announcement of the new general manager is an important step toward that goal, said Tim Bennett, owner of Overtime Sports and a key player in attracting Biloxi's new Double-A team.

Huntsville, Ala., Stars majority owner Ken Young is moving his team to Biloxi for the 2015 campaign.

A new stadium is being constructed across from the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino on U.S. 90.
