The date of the Southern Miss/Texas-San Antonio football game has been changed to accommodate television, Conference USA announced Tuesday.

The game has been moved from Saturday, Nov. 15, to Thursday, Nov. 13, in San Antonio. The game time and television network will be announced at a later date.

The contest will likely be broadcast on either Fox Sports 1 or CBS Sports Network.

Southern Miss is coming off a 1-11 season while Texas-San Antonio was surprisingly successful in its first year in C-USA last season, going 7-5.

The Roadrunners will be eligible for a bowl game for the first time this season after making the transition from the FCS level.

USM opens the season on Aug. 30 at Mississippi State.
