MDOT tells candidates to sign off

I guess those political signs won't sway many of the voters among the Mississippi Department of Transportation road crews. 

A release from MDOT says roadside signs may sprout up like wildflowers but they aren't as welcome. The department says they are illegal in the rights of ways and add to MDOT's $3 million a year war on litter.

According to MDOT, federal standards require it to remove all signs on the rights of way.
