Christian Talley of Southern Miss shared Conference USA Pitcher of the Week honors Monday with Zech Lemond of Rice.

Talley earned the award by throwing the team's first complete game of the season, giving up two runs on five hits while striking out 12 and walking none in a 6-2 win over Texas-San Antonio on Friday.

Talley (1-1) did not allow a hit after the fifth inning.

Talley, who played his high school ball at Hancock, is a junior transfer from Pearl River Community College.

Southern Miss (12-12) will take on Ole Miss at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Pearl.
