East Mississippi has two D-I quarterbacks

Posted by JAMES JONES on March 23, 2014

East Mississippi, winners of two of the last three NJCAA national titles, has two major college quarterback prospects.

Todd Mays and Max Staver give the Lions a solid one-two punch at the quarterback spot. Mays, a dual threat, scored 15 touchdowns last season in relief of Troy signee Dontreal Pruitt.

Staver transferred from Florida after the Gators switched offenses that no longer suited his style.

Mays has a scholarship offer from Cincinnati.

The 6-foot-6 Staver will have his share of schools, especially if he has a big year for the Lions.
