Bay High beats Gentry in 4A girls semifinal

JACKSON – Bay High beat Gentry, 47-33, Tuesday to advance to the Class 4A girls state title game at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Mississippi Coliseum.

Breanna Smith led Bay (31-3) with 16 points while Christa Reed added 13.

Kristy Parker was the star for Gentry (17-14), scoring a game high 23 points.

Bay High shot 50 percent in the game while Gentry hit just 25 percent of its shots.

Bay High, which jumped out to a 16-2 early lead, is seeking its second consecutive Class 4A state title.
