Brookhaven LB Leo Lewis emerges as Mississippi's best

Posted by JAMES JONES on March 11, 2014

Brookhaven linebacker Leo Lewis will enter the season as the state's top-ranked college football prospect.

Rivals.com, Scout.com and Sports247.com all have the junior ranked first in the Magnolia state.

Lewis has 13 scholarship offers, including Ole Miss, Mississippi State and LSU. All 13 schools have a chance to land his signature on National Signing Day.

"I'm just taking my time with the process," Lewis told Tigerbait.com. "I have no favorites at the moment and I'm open to all teams. I'm going to be fair to everyone that's offered me and give them a shot."

Lewis had 100 total tackles last season and forced four fumbles for Ole' Brook, which upset Region 4-5A champion Pascagoula 28-20 in round one of the 5A state playoffs last season.
