Kelly welcomes Taylor in, too ... sort of

Posted on March 7, 2014

Tavish Kelly, the Picayune gun shop owner and law school student running for the Republican nomination for 4th District congressman, had been running a pretty low key campaign.

That appears to have changed.

He's getting some help from Howie Morgan at Election Impact Group in Gulfport and has taken his first shot of the campaign, this one aimed at former congressman Gene Taylor.

“But as iron sharpens iron so one person sharpens another, and I welcome the very different perspective that a former Democrat will bring to the dialogue,”  said Kelly in a release from EIG. Then he noted Taylor had an American Conservative Union rating of 43.

He says he'll be running an aggressive door-to-door campaign to define the future of the Republican Party.

"I refuse to accept that nothing can be done" to stop Obama's radical agenda, he said in the release.
