USM's Craig expected to play Thursday at Tulane

Southern Miss senior forward Michael Craig is expect to play Thursday at Tulane, USM coach Donnie Tyndall said Wednesday. Craig has missed the last two games while he recovers from a high ankle sprain.

The 6-foot-5 Craig injured the ankle on Feb. 15 at Middle Tennessee and he has missed three of the last four games. He played eight minutes against UTEP on Feb. 22, but was obviously not at full health.

Tyndall described him as about 85 to 90 percent health after lasting about half the practice on Tuesday.

“We do plan on trying him in the game Thursday,” Tyndall said. “We'll see how much he can go, see how he feels with his conditioning.”
