South Mississippians will keep the party going for the last weekend of Mardi Gras parades and events before Fat Tuesday.
The Krewe of the Pearl Parade will be 6 p.m. today in Picayune. The route will begin on Goodyear Boulevard between Kirkwood Street and Beech Street, east to Highway 11, go south on Highway 11 then west on Bruce Street, north on South Main Street, west on West Canal Street, north on Kirkwood Street and end Goodyear Boulevard.
The St. Paul's Carnival Association Royal Ball is tonight at the West Harrison County Civic Center, Espy Avenue in Long Beach. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the tableaux beginning at 8 p.m. Cost: $25. Tickets may be purchased at Holy Family Parish Center, Evangeline Drive, Pass Christian.
The Krewe of Diamondhead parade starts at noon Saturday. Best viewing areas are around Diamondhead Plaza Shopping Center and Golf Club Drive.
The Jackson County Parade Association parade will roll at 1 p.m. Saturday. The route starts at Ingalls Avenue, left on Market Street, left on Jackson Avenue and left on Pascagoula Street.
The Krewe of Gemini of Gulfport day parade will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday. The route will run along U.S. 49, 13th, 14th, 15th and 24th avenues in downtown.
St. Paul Carnival Association parade will take to the streets starting at noon Sunday. The route is along Second Street, Davis Avenue and Scenic Drive.
The North Bay Mardi Gras Association parade kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The route runs along Automall Parkway.
