Co-Lin quarterback Daniel Fitzwater will enter next season as the state's top signal-caller prospect.

Rutgers, Western Kentucky and Pittsburgh all have offered Fitzwater.

"I actually gave a verbal to Rutgers, but I de-committed because the offensive coordinator left for the NFL," Fitzwater told JcGridiron.com.

The 6-foot-5 Fitzwater is a classic dropback passer. As a freshman last year, he threw for  for 2,684 yards and 19 touchdowns against just six interceptions.

Fitzwater played for Calvary Baptist in Shreveport. In high school, he had offers from North Texas, Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis and Rice. He turned those schools down for better opportunities.
