Preseason All-SEC first baseman Wes Rea was hit with the bases loaded, giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. Then senior second baseman Brett Pirtle drilled a bases-clearing triple down the right-field line, extending the lead to 4-0. Senior C.T. Bradford added the final run of the inning when he laid down a squeeze bunt for a single, driving in Pirtle.
Ole Miss 8, Stetson 2: Preston Overbey hit a pair of home runs, while Sam Smith anchored another solid outing from the Rebels pitching staff as Ole Miss (3-0) defeated Stetson (0-3) to sweep the weekend series.
Will Allen went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and four RBIs.

McNeese State 7, Southern Miss 1: McNeese State (3-0) scored three times in both the third and seventh innings to lift the Cowboys to a 7-1 victory over Southern Miss here Sunday in the final game of the Lake Area Classic.
The Golden Eagles (1-2) got three hits from Nick Dawson and two more from both Mason Robbins and Joe Harris in the nine-hit attack.

LSU 6, Grambling State 0: Andrew Stevenson had three hits and Kade Scivicque added two hits as LSU (3-0) was perfect on the opening week of the season. Jared Poche (1-0) worked the first six innings for the win, giving up four hits and striking out three.
Tulane 11, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 4: Sophomore outfielder Richard Carthon led a 12-hit Green Wave attack with three hits as Tulane (4-0) completed a four-game sweep of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
