Chemicalson vehicleslead to men's arrests
GULFPORT -- Police have arrested two men on felony malicious mischief charges alleging they damaged cars in a parking lot by throwing plastic bottles containing a chemical.
Police identified them Friday as James Tony Rider, 52, and Steven Darrell Moore, 52, both of Gulfport.
They are accused of causing more than $1,500 in damage Feb. 6 to vehicles parked at Sunset Village Trailer Park on Three Rivers Road. The men were arrested after the owners of the vehicles signed complaints against them.
Rider and Moore were held at the Harrison County jail. Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray set bonds for each at $50,000.
