Christa Reed scored a career-high 48 points as Bay High rolled past Ocean Springs 80-25 in girls basketball Friday at Bay High. Elese Dorsey added 13 points for the Lady Tigers (24-3), who will be the top seed for next week's Division 8-4A Tournament.
Harrison Central girls 55, Pass Christian 39: Jazzmun Holmes scored 22 points and dished out six assists as the Red Rebelettes improved to 16-10. Shaneice Cooper added 11 points and six steals while Keyshanna Johnson had 10 points. Aliyah Bell hit for 26 for Pass Christian (16-12).
D'Iberville girls 52, Stone 43: Marissa Landrum scored 16 points and Keci Thornton 13 as D'Iberville (15-9) won at Stone High. Lady Warriors will be No. 2 seed for Tuesday's Division 7-6A Tournament.
Harrison Central boys 63, St. Stanislaus 56: Lashard Durr had 14 points, Demarcus McInnis 11 and Ashton Arnold 11 as the Red Rebels (13-15) won at home. Jerrod Rigby led SSC with 18 points.
Stone High boys 51, D'Iberville 44: Peyton Owen scored 20 points as Stone improved to 13-12 in its home finale. Zack Scales led D'Iberville with 18 points.
Gulfport girls 60, Biloxi 32: Dentasia Thomas scored 17 points as the Lady Admirals (16-10) rolled to an easy victory. Gulfport jumped out to a 18-2 first quarter lead as the Lady Indians missed seven of their first eight shots. Gulfport led 37-13 at halftime. Thomas had 15 first-half points, outscoring Biloxi by herself.
Erica Newsome had an all-around game, scoring five points, grabbing nine rebounds and blocking six shots for the Lady Admirals.
Ariel McDaniel led the Lady Indians with 12 points.
The Lady Admirals will meet Harrison Central in the Division 7-6A semifinals. Biloxi faces D'Iberville in the Division 8-6A tournament semifinals.
Pascagoula girls 52, Moss Point 33: Pascagoula earned a 52-33 victory over Moss Point behind 16 points from Kanosha Fairley. The Panthers improved to 15-4 to push their winning streak to 11 games as Kesi Bradley added 11 points.
Briana Corley and Maya Harvey each had six points to lead Moss Point (8-18).
