MOSS POINT -- Fire Chief Clarence Parks has resigned to take a job as an instructor at the Mississippi State Fire Academy in Jackson.
Parks served as chief for two years in Moss Point, but worked at the academy prior to that. He continued to be an adjunct instructor during his time in Moss Point, but has now accepted a full-time position.
He said his experience in Moss Point has been both exciting and challenging, but overall a great experience.
Parks' last day is Feb. 21.
