The Sun Herald's resident progressive, radical, extremist Bill Minor's column ("The Tea Party could squeeze Cochran out of office") was nothing less than a quarter-page free political ad for Thad Cochran.
The attack on Chris McDaniel, who is a fine, honest, Christian family man, was deplorable. It's obvious Minor knows nothing about Chris and plagiarizes talking points from Haley Barbour or some liberal left-winger.
This leads one to ask why a progressive commentator like Mr. Minor, who has always championed liberal issues so fervently, supports Thad Cochran. There can only be two obvious answers: Cochran represents Minor's liberal views and/or liberals are scared to death that a small government Christian constitutional conservative will be elected. Is there another answer?
I believe Chris embraces most common sense policies that are shared by working Mississippians;
p Taxed Enough Already.
p Less regulation.
p Fiscal prudence.
p Restore American prosperity and jobs.
p Live within our means as a nation.
p Honor our Constitution as written by our founders.
p Protect private property rights.
p Rugged individualism.
p Oppose spying into our everyday lives.
Those are some of the things Mr. Minor calls radical. I submit to you that he and others like him are the radicals and are out of touch with you, the Mississippi voter. The progressive campaign to maintain their power has begun with lies. Progressive support for Mr. Cochran tells you everything you need to know this race.
