Gulfport WR Jevon Floyd updates recruiting status

Posted by JAMES JONES on February 1, 2014

Gulfport wide receiver Jevon Floyd is heavily leaning toward not signing on National Signing Day.

The senior has scholarship offers from Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, but Georgia Southern just entered the picture. He hasn't visited Georgia Southern nor ULM, but visited ULL during football season.

The 6-foot-1 Floyd told the Sun Herald after the Admirals' 79-51 victory over Harrison Central he won't sign on Wednesday. He plays on the basketball team.

The Sun Herald's All-South Mississippi pick had 71 receptions for 1,229 yards and 15 touchdowns as the Admirals (9-3) reached the 6A state playoffs.
