The Southern Miss baseball team is picked to finish fourth in Conference USA by the league's coaches, C-USA announced Wednesday morning.

Junior outfielder Mason Robbins, a Leakesville native, is the lone Golden Eagle to be chosen for the preseason all-conference team. Robbins hit .317 last year with two home runs and 40 RBIs last season to be named second-team all-conference.

Rice dominated the league's preseason vote, taking 12 of the 13 first-place selections.

East Carolina pitcher/designated hitter Drew Reynolds and FIU catcher Aramis Garcia shared the preseason C-USA Player of the Year honors.
