LaDarius Kidd commits to Texas Tech

Harrison Central offensive lineman Ladarius Kidd has verbally committed to Texas Tech.

Scout.com reported that Red raiders coach Cliff Kingsbury visited Kidd at his home on Thursday in Lyman after the Big 12 School extended a scholarship offer.

"I bonded real well with the coaches on the visit and don't want to pass up an opportunity to play at a BCS school," Kidd told Raiderpower.com on Scout.com.  "Mostly it was the coaches and Lubbock felt like home to me. That's what I wanted mostly, a place that felt like home."

Kidd will play nosetackle for the Red Raiders. Oklahoma and Louisiana-Lafayette were the other schools that offered him.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Kidd is an honor student who has qualified academically. He originally committed to UAB.
