Rivals.com not high on Mississippi prospects

Posted by JAMES JONES on January 23, 2014

The state of Mississippi didn't have a player ranked in Rivals.com's Top 100 players.

But the Magnolia state had six players rated in the Top 250.

Callaway offensive lineman Rod Taylor sits at 106th, as the state's highest-ranked player. Meridian cornerback CJ Hampton is next at 166.

Callaway defensive end Breeland Speaks is at 179, followed by Greenville-Weston linebacker Gerri Green (222), Wilkinson County defensive back Devin Voorhies (244) and Purvis wide receiver Markell Pack (245).

Taylor, Hampton, Speaks and Pack are all headed to Ole Miss. Green will play at Mississippi State, while Voorhies is bound for LSU.
