PRCC DL Darrius Caldwell commits to South Carolina

Posted by JAMES JONES on January 23, 2014

Pearl River Community College defensive lineman Darrius Caldwell verbally committed to South Carolina late Wednesday night.

According to Gamecockcentral, South Carolina defensive line coach Deke Adams visited Caldwell in Poplarville.

The 6-foot-6, 240-pounder will make it official on Feb. 5, National Signing Day and will play two years at South Carolina (11-2).

Caldwell saw action as a reserve redshirt freshman at Illinois in 2012 before transferring to PRCC and forming one of the nation's top defensive lines with tackle Dalvon Stuckey, an Auburn commitment.
