Harrison Central CB Lashard Durr will visit MSU this weekend

Harrison Central defensive back Lashard Durr will visit Mississippi State this weekend, according to Scout.com.

It's the first weekend recruits can officially make campus visits, two days after the NCAA's dead period was lifted.

Durr verbally committed to the Bulldogs last year and he hasn't wavered from the Starkville-based school.

If the 6-foot-2 Durr can qualify academically, he gives the Bulldogs (7-6) a physical cornerback in the SEC.

Durr made the All-South Mississippi team and first-team All Region 4-6A. He made 10 receptions for 311 yards, 60 total tackles, interception, four punt returns for touchdowns.

FCAHS running back Dontavian Lee, Petal wide receiver Jesse Jackson and West Point running back Aeris Williams, all MSU verbals, will visit the Bulldogs' campus this weekend.
