Brandon DE Kyle Strickland picks Arkansas State

Posted by JAMES JONES on January 9, 2014

Brandon defensive end Kyle Strickland has verbally committed to Arkansas State.

"I've just really been thinking a lot about Arkansas State over the past couple of days," Strickland told Redwolfreport.com. "I've been thinking about how it would be a really good place for me, and how it's not too far away from my family."

Strickland had 82 total tackles and had seven quarterback sacks.

"The coaches have told me I will get a chance to play as a freshman," he said. "That would be a big accomplishment for me. The coaches all made me feel welcomed even though I haven't met them yet. They have been able to make me feel really good about myself, and I just have a ton of respect for them."
