Former 'Goula guard enrolls at East Central CC

Posted by PATRICK MAGEE on January 3, 2014

Former Pascagoula High School guard/forward Prince McDaniel is now on basketball scholarship at East Central Community College, his father said Friday.

McDaniel recently enrolled at East Central CC after after re-committing himself to his studies and graduating from Pascagoula in late December.

The 6-foot-5 McDaniel has tremendous potential, but grades have been an issue in the past. He played just one memorable season at Pascagoula in 2012-13, helping the Panthers reach the Class 5A state semifinals in Jackson.

McDaniel played forward and ran the point at Pascagoula, but is expected to play point guard at East Central CC.

McDaniel, who averaged 11.6 points at Pascagoula last year, will redshirt this season and be eligible to take the court for the 2014-15 campaign.
