Byerson Cockrell commits to Nebraska

East Mississippi Community College defensive back Byerson Cockrell has verbally committed to Nebraska.

He helped the Lions win their second NJCAA title in three years.

"My visit went great," Cockrell told Huskeronline.com. "When I first got there I toured the facilities like their weight room and all of those things. Then I pretty much just hung out with the team. They made me feel like I was already part of their team too. I got to go to the team meeting and I got to see how everything would be like if I went there."
