Moss Point's Booker to sign quietly with Kentucky

Posted by PATRICK MAGEE on November 11, 2013

Moss Point senior guard Devin Booker will keep a low profile when he signs with Kentucky this week.

There will be no ceremony for Booker on Wednesday when he plans to make it official by signing his letter of intent with the Wildcats, Moss Point coach Micoe Cotton said Monday.

Booker announced his commitment to Kentucky on Oct. 31 in an event that attracted plenty of attention at the Moss Point High School gymnasium.

Class 4A Moss Point is 0-1 so far this season, losing 80-62 to Class 6A Meridian on Nov. 22. In defeat, Booker scored 33 points.

Moss Point travels to Class 6A Hattiesburg on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
