Alex Woodall chooses Louisiana Tech

Posted by JAMES JONES on November 5, 2013

McComb quarterback Alex Woodall has verbally committed to Louisiana Tech.

Woodall, the state's top quarterback prospect, chose Louisiana Tech over Mississippi State because he wanted to remain a signal-caller.

"I have always played quarterback and that's what I am most comfortable with," Woodall told Scout.com. "Louisiana Tech is giving me the chance to play it."

Woodall, at 6-foot-3 and 210-pounds, plans to visit Ruston on Nov. 23 when Louisiana Tech entertains Tulsa.

Louisiana Tech has six quarterbacks on its roster, but all came to play for then-coach Sonny Dykes. With Dykes in California, expect Louisiana Tech to release several of the signal-callers and sign another quarterback alongside Woodall.
