Moss Point's Booker to announce his college choice Thursday

Posted by PATRICK MAGEE on October 29, 2013

Moss Point basketball star Devin Booker will announce at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday where he plans to attend college, he announced Tuesday on Twitter.

Booker will make his announcement in the high school's gymnasium, and five top notch college programs are hoping that they will be the one he chooses.

Booker narrowed his list of school to five options: Missouri, Michigan State, Michigan, Kentucky and Florida.

Booker, whose dad, Melvin, is a former Moss Point and Missouri star basketball player, has given no indication on which school he plans to pick. He also has roots in Michigan, where lived before he transferred to Moss Point before his sophomore campaign.

The 6-foot-5 Booker is rated a four-star prospect by both Scout.com and Rivals.com.

With the arrival of junior guard Marcus Watson in the offseason to help out Booker makes Moss Point one of the favorites to compete for a Class 4A state championship.
