Ohio State recruiting East Mississippi CC

Posted by JAMES JONES on October 27, 2013

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer knows plenty about the Mississippi Junior College, dating back to his days at Florida.

The unbeaten and fourth-ranked Buckeyes are recruiting East Mississippi Community College offensive lineman Avery Gennesy, who visited Columbus over the weekend.

"The visit went great," Gennesy told BuckeyeGrove.com. "I spent a lot of time with the coaches and players. I really loved it out there, the city, the atmosphere; it was just a great time out there."

Last year, Ohio State signed Lions wide receiver Corey Smith.

East Mississippi is ranked second nationally and plays host to No. 6 Gulf Coast CC in a MACJC playoff game on Saturday at 2 p.m.
