Sylvester Townes chooses West Virginia

Posted by JAMES JONES on October 2, 2013

Coahoma offensive tackle Sylvester Townes has verbally committed to West Virginia.

The Mountaineers beat Southern Miss, Memphis, Western Kentucky and Texas Tech for his services.

"From the depth chart, every tackle is leaving and I think I have it coming in from the jump," Townes told WVsports.com. "It's more exciting than anything."

The 6-foot-6 285-pound Townes will sign during the mid-year signing period in December.
