Oakland Raiders contact Buddy Singleton about Norwood

Posted by JAMES JONES on September 26, 2013

The Oakland Raiders recently contacted D'Iberville coach Buddy Singleton about his former wide receiver, Kevin Norwood.

Norwood is a fifth-year receiver at Alabama, helping the Crimson Tide win three BCS National titles.

The 2008 Sun Herald player of the year played one season under Singleton, with the Warriors losing 12-10 to Noxubee County in the 4A state finals.

The 6-foot-3 Norwood is a projected a mid-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft.  He's also on the Senior Bowl watch list.
